Simpler — Privacy Policy

1. Who We Are

Simpler is a business management app operated by PPPL ("we," "us," "our"). This policy explains what data we collect, why, and how we protect it.

2. What We Collect

Information You Give Us

Account info: Name, email, phone number, password
Business info: Company name, GSTIN, PAN, business address
Business data: Everything you enter — employees, customers, vendors, inventory, invoices, payroll details (bank accounts, EPF/ESIC numbers, salary info)
Photos: Invoice photos, product images, profile pictures, payment screenshots — only what you choose to capture or upload
Contacts: Device contacts, only if you choose to share invoices via WhatsApp

Information Collected Automatically

Analytics: Anonymized app usage and crash reports via Firebase Analytics and App Store Connect. We use this to improve the app.
Device info: iOS version, device model, app version — for debugging and compatibility.

Biometric Data

If your company uses facial attendance, we store face embeddings (numerical data, not photos) for attendance matching. These are deleted when the employee is removed or the account is deleted.

Face ID / Touch ID for NDA acceptance is processed entirely on your device by Apple. We never receive that data.

What We Do NOT Collect

We do not browse your photo library — we only see images you select or capture
We do not record audio (microphone permission exists because iOS bundles it with camera access)
We do not track your location
We do not use advertising identifiers or tracking pixels

4. Who Sees Your Data

We do not sell your data. We share it only with the service providers we need to run the app:

We may also share data if required by law or court order.

5. Cookies & Tracking

Simpler is a native iOS app. We do not use cookies. We do not use advertising trackers or cross-app tracking. App preferences are stored locally on your device and are not sent to our servers.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

Access your data — request a copy of what we have
Correct inaccurate information
Delete your data — you can delete your account from within the app (see Terms of Service, Section 14) or email us
Know what we collect and who we share it with — this policy covers that

To make a request, email energy_orrery_0k@icloud.com with the subject "Privacy Request." We will respond within 30 days.

7. How Long We Keep Your Data

Account & business data: As long as your account is active, plus 30 days after deletion.
Face embeddings: Until the employee is removed or the account is deleted.
Images sent for AI processing: Not stored after processing is complete.
Analytics: Retained by Firebase in anonymized form per Google's policies.
Deletion audit logs: Kept indefinitely for fraud prevention.

When you delete your account, all associated data is permanently removed within 30 days.

8. How We Protect Your Data

All data in transit is encrypted (HTTPS/TLS)
All data at rest is encrypted by Google Firebase
Each company's data is isolated — you can only see your own
Sensitive operations (NDA acceptance) use Face ID / Touch ID via Apple's Secure Enclave
The app detects screenshots and screen recordings for security — admins are notified
API keys and secrets live server-side, not in the app

No system is 100% secure. We do our best, but cannot guarantee absolute security. If we discover a breach affecting your data, we will notify you.

9. Children's Privacy

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. If we make significant changes, we will notify you via the app, email, or WhatsApp at least 15 days before they take effect.
